Control unit for satellite antenna positioner

This thesis is focused on the analysis and proposal of the device used for the control of the rotator for the offset antenna controlled by the computer. It explains the principle of the satellite transmitting and aiming the earth-bound antennas. It describes the designs of the individual circuits, printed circuit board and the programming solutions. Device will be the modernization of the existing positioning device.

Eurosport as the example of the expansion of the sport television channels in the Europe

This bachelor thesis describes and rates the beginnings of the development of the specialized sports television channels in Europe. The main center of interest is pan-european sports channel Eurosport. Shortly is described the development of the symbiotic relationship of the sports and the media. This development is traced from the rise of the first sports magazines and sports rubrics in newspapers, over the development of the sports radio broadcasting, up to the rise of the sports television broadcasting. The thesis interprets the conditions and the causes of the rise of the first European and world's sports television channels. In more detail the conditions of the setting up of the pan-european channel Eurosport and its development from 80th years of the 20th century into present are described. Eurosport is today the sports television channel, which broadcasts in the Europe and also in other continents in quite 20 world's languages. Eurosport has become the pan-european channel with the highest ratings. The thesis also describes the history and the present of the Czech mutation of Eurosport, which has been distributed in the Czech Republic since 1996. Following the cooperation with the Czech redaction of Eurosport is further described the rear of the redaction, main structures and procedures...

The Reflection of Changing Social Values in the Egyptian TV Series

The TV series represent a specific phenomenon in Egypt and other Arab countries. Albeit generally regarded as an uninteresting part of popular culture rather than a sort of art, the TV dramas should be seriously taken into consideration by all of social, history, and art scientists. Firstly, because of the extreme popularity among the large majority of the Egyptians, the series are often used by authorities for spreading certain ideological and political messages. The questions of national unity and the rise of militant Islam were chosen as examples to prove this in the thesis. Secondly, the Egyptian TV series reflect the social changes in Egyptian society and promote modernisation. This is shown in the thesis on the cases of marriage and the woman status. The production of TV series in Egypt is enormous and watching them is very widespread. Therefore, the TV dramas represent a powerful means to influence Egyptian society. Copyright and related rights protection in satellite Broadcasting and retransmission This thesis deals with the field of intellectual property law and deals with the issue of protection of copyright and copyright-related rights in the field of satellite broadcasting and retransmission. Due to the scope of the topic, not all copyright institutes are analyzed in more detail. More time is devoted to the institutes that are most relevant for the basic attributes of copyright law and those that are relevant for the communication of copyright work to the public, audiovisual work, protection of copyright and related rights, television and radio broadcasting and its retransmission. In seven chapters, the thesis attempts to provide an overview of protection of copyright and related rights ; it methodologically begins with the interpretation of general principles of intellectual property law, proceeds describing international and Community law and ends with the interpretation of national law, where it gradually describes the authors' rights to their work, the performers' rights to their performance, the producers' rights to their record and the broadcasters' rights to their broadcasting, as the main holders of the protected rights.
